LGLN is organised by representatives of The Francis Crick Institute, University College London, Royal Free Hospital and University College Hospital. We are always keen to expand our representation more widely across London.

LGLN wants to support more networking among London’s gut and liver research communities. London hosts an impressive array of academic groups and clinical centres with a huge opportunity to bring together our shared research interests.

LGLN will host in-person events over the year where research will be presented by established and early career researchers. The key goal will be for attendees to meet colleagues old and new, discuss ideas and build collaborations.

Membership of LGLN gives access to an online platform to embed this collaboration. The LGLN is a place for partnership with ethics, access to shared bioresources and a hosted network with active research profiles to facilitate easy contact with fellow researchers. Partnerships with patient research charities and hospital networks can also support access to Patient and Public Involvement & Engagement (PPIE) in members’ research projects.

The ultimate goal of the LGLN is to overcome barriers to collaboration and provide an easy platform to support gut and liver researchers across London.
